Once they enter City Hall, the Kokeshi gradually explore it as they stroll around. Each of these seven illuminated dolls is carrying a luminous cocoon nestling in the centre of their stomachs. They all seem to be intent on the same mission: to lay down their treasure like offerings and symbols of the silk industry and renewal. Like these huge Japanese dolls, the audience will feel irresistibly drawn to the powerful sparkling lights which emanate from their giant cocoons which are ready to hatch. This richly symbolic creation celebrates the links between the textile industries in Lyon and Japan.

A light, poetic atmosphere suffuses the banks of the Rhône. Luminéoles - imaginary light birds with slender wings - dance, skimming the water. When they fly off, there is a blaze of colours with the sky and city as a backdrop. Both banks of the river can enjoy watch this spectacular aerial ballet.

However, as night falls, these white flowers with their simple outlines become lampshades, towering over the space on their long stems. Adorned with a thousand colours, they orchestrate a symphony of light with changing hues. As members of the public wander through this light sculpture garden, they can bask in the their soft coloured lights by standing at the base of a bouquet as they survey the square at a glance and let themselves be hypnotised by the interplay of continuously changing lights.

However, as night falls, these white flowers with their simple outlines become lampshades, towering over the space on their long stems. Adorned with a thousand colours, they orchestrate a symphony of light with changing hues. As members of the public wander through this light sculpture garden, they can bask in the their soft coloured lights by standing at the base of a bouquet as they survey the square at a glance and let themselves be hypnotised by the interplay of continuously changing lights.

What is this extraordinary jungle that we can see in the distance ? Strange and gigantic plants seem to be growing in the moist atmosphere of an immense tropical greenhouse. They seem to invade the space, absorbing the light, transforming it into a dark green glow. Giant flowers, bursting with bright colour, emerge and open their petals. From outside the building, spectators experience the strength and exuberance of nature.
